Me, myself, and why not?
Hello friends — old, new, and those just passing through.
After some time away, I’m finally back in this space that has meant so much to me. It feels a little like coming home after a long journey — familiar yet fresh, like the first deep breath of air after a summer rain. And although I have never truly stopped, I wasn't truly present either. I’ve missed this. I’ve missed creating, sharing, connecting. Most of all, I’ve missed the parts of myself that I neglected.
So here I am — back, and more inspired than ever to return to the roots of what truly makes me feel alive.
That means more photography. More raw moments. More art for the sake of feeling, not just for the sake of finishing. I want to explore again with curious eyes, to chase sunsets, to capture the kind of fleeting details that tell stories without words. Whether it's the curve of a wave, the laugh lines on a loved one’s face, or a quiet morning with my coffee and camera — I want to hold space for it all.
This space will shift a little. I’ll be focusing more intentionally on the artistic side of life — not just photography, but anything that stirs the soul: textures, color, music, movement, stillness. Things that make my heart happy. Things that remind me — and maybe you too — that beauty is everywhere, if we let ourselves look. That is my goal.
Lately, I’ve been feeling a strong pull — a quiet but insistent tug on my heart — to share more of myself here. Not just what I create, but who I am. The messy, beautiful, layered parts. The stories behind the photos. The colors and textures of my life that don’t always make it into the frame.
I’ve come to realize that creativity isn’t just about the art we make — it’s about the life that fuels it. And for me, that life begins with where I’m from.
In case you don’t know, I was born in Brazil — a place that will always feel like rhythm, warmth, family, flavor, and soul. It’s the sound of Portuguese spoken with emotion. It’s the smell of pão de queijo baking in the morning. It’s samba, capoeira, and Bossa Nova echoing through the streets, even when the world feels heavy. Brazil shaped me — deeply. I was born passionate. And though I’ve now built a home here in the U.S., those roots run deep and have never left me.
So I want to start sharing more of that. More of my origins. More of the quiet ways Brazil shows up in my everyday American life — in how I cook, how I speak to loved ones, how I see beauty in chaos, how I find comfort in color. There’s a duality to living between two cultures, and for a long time, I didn’t know how to express that. But I’m learning that this in-between space is a kind of magic. It’s a fusion of old and new, memory and discovery.
This next chapter is about blending it all — the personal and the creative, the Brazilian and the American, the artist and the human. I’m not hiding pieces of myself anymore. I want you to see the full picture.
Thank you to those who’ve stayed. Thank you if you’re just joining me now. I hope you’ll stick around. There’s so much more to come, and I truly can’t wait to share it with you.
Here’s to finding light again — and following it, wherever it leads. More soon — from the heart, the lens, and the life I’m finally ready to share.
With love and lens,
Myrian
